Happy Monday! Lovely readers…
I hope you all are had a fabulous weekend? I thought I’d share some pretty pictures today which will truly inspire you for your wedding, sent to me all the way from Portland. Seriously I think it’s one of the sweetest shoots I’ve ever seen. Over to Peggy, who will tell you all about it.
There’s something magical about utilizing the raw cool tones of the Pacific Northwest. You are met with gorgeous lush greens in every shade. We really wanted to showcase both nature and the gorgeous architecture of Cathedral Park’s St. John’s Bridge. You’ll be cradled in the park underneath breathtaking pointed arches, similar to arches that revolutionized Medieval churches and cathedrals. This incredible setting gives a couple solitude with one another, enjoying the moment in its entirety.
We brought our bride, Jayde, to life with a stunning flowing gown designed by the brilliant Leanne Marshall. The dress features a structured top with delicate lace, while the skirt of the dress provides layers and layers of the softest sheer fabric. In order to not draw attention away from Jayde’s beauty, we minimalized her accessories and her styling.
Ellie Asher’s photography gives off a gentle, wispy and organic mood. She keeps her focus simple, which in turn, heightens the beauty of her images.
Peggy Dean used her years of experience providing brides with their styling needs to perfectly accent Jayde’s already gorgeous features. We kept her makeup at a minimum, and her hair in a more natural tousled curl. Her eyes were accented in soft light browns while her cheeks and lips were brushed with soft pinks. We felt having her hair flowing down accentuated the flow of her gown and showed us a more graceful and angelic side. Midway through the event, we slightly moved her hair parting, and created a soft cascading braid creating a half-pinned up effect. We added a bit more of a smokey eye with darker plum hues.
Brenna Burnett, owner of Brenna Burnett Designs, hand-made all florals. She designed our charming arch and constructed it on location. Burnett has impeccable taste in keeping a bouquet complimentary and sophisticated. She also created two separate floral crowns to lightly add a delicate finishing touch.
