Good Morning! Everyone,
Today I’m sharing the decor shots from one of my July weddings at The Sommer House, Bangalore. In my earlier post you would have seen the decor work and fun we had at Dhanya & Karthik’s Sangeet and Reception. They initially wanted a temple wedding, but as the guest numbers increased, they decided to have it at Sommer House and overnight I converted it into a lovely yellow marigold wedding.
From the time we discussed about the décor, all Dhanya wanted was a lovely simple south Indian wedding with a swing.
As we worked through the night with yellow marigolds and tube roses for the morning wedding, the place smelled so heavenly in the morning. Nothing to beat waking up to fresh flowers and a hot cup of coffee from the bride’s mom .
We had yellow marigold drops with brass bells on all the trees. We transformed the gazebo into a mandap filled with marigolds, brass bells, tube roses and green chrysanthemums. For the backdrop we created a mango design with chrysanthemums, marigold and crystals. To protect the guests from the rain we had canopies and had coordinated chair covers with yellow and green bows. The brides sweetest wish was to have a swing, and for that we got a huge Indian wooden swing decorated again with tube roses and marigold and placed it under the huge mango tree.
This is one wedding, I truly enjoyed doing and it meant the world to me to have the bride and her mom come up to me and say it was perfect & everyone loved it with hugs.
